The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Assam has announced a recruitment notification for 10 faculty posts in Government Nursing Colleges under the Medical Education & Research (ME&R) Department.

Pay Scale
The selected candidates will receive a monthly salary of Rs. 95,000.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must hold an M.Sc. in Nursing with a total of 12 years of experience, including 10 years of teaching experience. A Ph.D. in Nursing is desirable. Additionally, candidates must be registered with the Assam Nurses’ Midwives and Health Visitors’ council.
Age Limit
Candidates should not exceed 50 years of age as of 1st January 2026. Age relaxation is available for SC/ST (5 years), OBC-NCL (3 years), and PwBD candidates (10 years).

Interested candidates should attend a walk-in interview on 31st August 2026 at 11 AM at the Office of the Director of Medical Education, Assam, Sixmile, Khanapara, Guwahati-781022.
Documents Required
Candidates must bring original documents and certificates related to their educational qualifications, work experience, age, identity, and other relevant credentials for verification, along with two recent passport-size photographs and self-attested photocopies.
