Selection Process
The selection will consist of an online test (Preliminary and Main exams) followed by a test of the specified local language.

Online Preliminary Exam
The Online Preliminary Exam will consist of Objective Tests worth 100 marks and will be conducted online. This exam will last for 1 hour and include three sections.

Each section will have its own timing, and there will be negative marking for incorrect answers, with a deduction of 1/4th of the marks assigned for each wrong answer. There are no minimum qualifying marks for individual tests or for the overall score, and section-wise scores will not be maintained.
The Bank will shortlist a sufficient number of candidates from each category for the Main Exam, approximately 10 times the number of vacancies, based on their aggregate scores.
Phase - II: Main Examination
The structure of the Main Examination for SBI Clerk Recruitment will be as follows:

Similar to the Preliminary Exam, each section will have a separate timing, and there will be negative marking for wrong answers. Candidates must achieve a minimum aggregate percentage as determined by the bank, but there are no minimum qualifying marks for individual subjects.
A merit list will be created based on candidates' scores in descending order, categorized by state and category.
Local Language Proficiency Test
Candidates who qualify for selection and provide a 10th or 12th standard mark sheet or certificate showing they studied the opted local language will not need to take a language test. Others who qualify will undergo a local language test after provisional selection but before joining. Failure to pass this test will result in disqualification.
Final Selection
The marks from the Preliminary Examination will not be included in the final selection process. Only the aggregate marks from the Main Examination will be considered for the final merit list, with provisional selection based on candidates' performance in the Main Examination.
